Its beginnings

On Saint Cecilia’s Day 2004, the Banda de Cornetas y Tambores Coronación was born in Campillos, founded by José María Domínguez Olmo. Since its origins the band has kept an elegant, serious and martial style of marching.

Its music and history

Every year Coronación gives countless performances across Andalusia. Its appearances in the Semana Santa celebrations of Seville, Málaga, Jerez and Cádiz deserve special mention. The band also organises many charity initiatives: competitions, food collection campaigns and much more. Today it is a well-known and highly regarded band in the world of Semana Santa brotherhoods.

The band currently has around a hundred members, and its uniform is based on the full-dress uniform of the Spanish Royal Guard. It is directed by José Gambero Sánchez, and musical responsibility also lies with José Gambero and Francisco J. Aguilar.
